The processing of seismic time sections with OTDI programmes
results in acoustic stiffness sections (Figs 1,2). The sections
together with well logging data are used to compile the
prediction maps of effective
thickness (H ef), Fig.3, porosity factor, Pf (Fig. 4) and linear
capacity C=Pf x Hef of reservoirs.

These data are used for the optimum location of new wells and
estimation of oil and gas reserves.
