Research and Production Centre “GEONEFTEGAZ” has accumulated a
vast experience in interpretation of seismic data. We
successfully operate both in areas with a relatively simple and
complicated geology.
We use two programme packages, namely Tigress worked out by PGS
company (UK) and SFI by SFIlab company (Russia) for the
kinematic interpretation and structural modeling of the area
under study.
Tigress is a modern package to process geological-geophysical
data consisting in the entire cycle of operations starting from
the interpretation of logging data, tracing of reflectors,
faults & outcrops, boundaries of seismic-facial zones, creation
of cubes of seismic parameters, compilation of maps and
calculation of volumes, evaluation of potential and estimation
of reserves.
SFI includes many means to display, detect and measure seismic
section parameters corresponding to a variety of definite
geological peculiarities of area under study.
Every geologic section can be compared with many seismic images
emphasizing its features in a special way:
-
hierarchic structure
-
morphology of its main boundaries
-
internal structure of composing bodies
-
ranking of disjunctive dislocations
-
degree of regularity in observing the formations
-
types of formations,cycles,etc
A complete set of purposeful images can describe the entire
section.
The seismic data are dynamically interpreted using Interwell
package worked out by Beicib-Franlab Co (France) that secures
the highest speed of calculations with the accuracy of results
being high. A complete set of means for the qualitative control
enables to test the results in detail.
Interwell contains a sample of 3D geological model. The
geological model is used as input data for the inversion
radically improving its results.
The interpretation finally results in FEC cubes of geological
medium, identification of porous and non-permeable formations.
The complex analysis of seismic and electrical prospecting data
yields a forecast location of a hydrocarbon deposit at search
and prospecting stages, specifies outlines of discovered deposit
and gives recommendations for further geological-geophysical
investigations and deep drilling.
